About Me

I have over 24 years of experience in addiction and mental health, working across inpatient detox centres, residential rehabs, community and prison services, with over 10 years specialising in recovery for young people and families. My roles have ranged from frontline work to management, consultancy, freelance training, and public speaking on addiction and its wide-reaching effects.

I have been in recovery from addiction since 2001, bringing personal drive and passion to heal from generational addiction. For the past 10 years, I have specialised in recovery coaching, life coaching and holistic health, guiding clients toward healing their relationships with themselves through a loving, compassionate approach.

My expertise spans addiction recovery, complex mental health issues, physical disabilities, domestic abuse, behavioral changes, navigating neurodivergence, codependency and trauma recovery, healing from narcissistic abuse and chronic health conditions. I help clients overcome limiting beliefs and co-create fulfilling, empowered lives.

My goal has been to keep working on myself to change the legacy I was given. My trauma journey only started at ten years clean as the denial about my upbringing was steel-fenced. I now acknowledge how severe emotional neglect impacted my development and identity. As a teenager, my inner critic was a constant monologue of demeaning statements keeping me small and unworthy. Most of my recovery has been unlearning the protective programs my mind created around abandonment issues. I came into recovery at 31 wanting to live and heal, willing to change everything. I have reaped the rewards by building a life founded on radical self-love and empowerment.

My Approach

Amanda Martin About me.jpg

Drawing on my personal addiction recovery journey since 2001, I provide a deeply empathetic understanding of the barriers my clients face. I have moved through the effects of my childhood trauma, emotional neglect, self-esteem challenges, codependency, body dysmorphia, eating disorder, relationship dynamics, and personal mental health treatment. My warm, loving approach fosters a supportive environment where clients can safely explore their potential, resilience, and inner strength.

I integrate proven methodologies and practical tools aimed at fostering sustainable personal growth and lasting behavioural change. I have extensive knowledge of addiction services to support any phase of recovery. I emphasise developing psychological flexibility and self-compassion to help clients navigate life's challenges effectively.

For the past ten years, I have been coaching clients online and in live-in jobs, working on many different aspects of change of behavioural health, recovery, and healing.

I bring a highly passionate approach with extensive knowledge, skills, and use of dynamic and innovative interventions to engage clients in their process of change. I work with heart-centred compassion and dedication to my client's wellbeing and multi-layered needs.

I work intuitively to guide clients to find their full potential, moving from crisis to clarity and struggle to strength. I encourage them to build meaningful connections and create a foundation for a thriving future, experiencing freedom in all areas of their life.

Healing the Mind, Body, and Soul

My coaching philosophy blends practical strategies with a spiritual and holistic approach, recognising the profound connection between mind, body, and soul. I guide clients in aligning with their core values, fostering self-awareness, and cultivating intentional behaviours that support growth transformation and fulfilment.

Together, we work to release limiting beliefs and embrace accountability, adopting healthier patterns of behaviour to reflect self-love and self-care in everything you do. We co-create and design lives rooted in purpose and authenticity where your core values and beliefs are expressed.

To support this transformative process, I incorporate integrative somatics and movement. I use Yin Yoga, TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), cranial sacral work, and other modalities that address physical, emotional, and spiritual alignment. By working holistically, help clients release stress and trauma held in body. This will help them connect with their inner strength and foster balance with improved emotional regulation through Vagus nerve resets and breathwork.

Whether you’re seeking to heal from the past, bring in healthier patterns of behaviour or thinking, create loving relationships, or build an aligned and prosperous future, my goal is to provide the tools, guidance, and safe space you need to thrive. Together, we can uncover your potential and create the life you are meant to live.

Let’s embark on this journey of transformation—because real change begins with courage and commitment.

I’ve had the absolute privilege of working with Amanda for the past 10 years, and I can honestly say she is one of the most genuine, compassionate, and powerful women I’ve ever met.

As my recovery coach, Amanda brings her whole heart into everything she does. She’s been through it, and because of that, she meets you with real empathy — but also with a blunt, honest, and tough-love approach when you need it most. She doesn’t sugarcoat things, and that’s exactly what makes her so effective.

Amanda has an incredible gift for holding space and helping people break through their own blocks. She’ll challenge you, cheer for you, and hold you accountable every step of the way. She doesn’t just talk about recovery — she lives it, and she shows you what’s possible when you truly commit to change.

If you’re looking for someone who will walk beside you with strength, wisdom, and fierce love, Amanda is the coach you want in your corner.
